The Northeast Alpaca Expo is
preparing for it's 4th year in 2013. The Expo is run by
Alpaca Show Management Services
which is a blending of show coordinator veterans
Kevin O'Leary
and Scott Young who together
have run over 50 Alpaca Shows across the country.
Alpaca Show Management Services
would not be themselves if they did not bring innovation to
their Spring shows. This spring we believe we are going to
blow your alpaca socks off with year's surprises! This
year we are going to let you see what the judges see, as they
see it and in HD no less! We are going to put a GoPro
camera in each ring with the judges and feed the signal
wirelessly to a big screen TV ringside so everyone can watch and
get a feel for what the judge is seeing. Of course so much
goes into place standings than just what you can see, but this
new and enhanced show perk will undoubtedly be a positive
learning experience for all.
The 2013 Expo will be judged on a 60/40 basis
with alpaca judging happening on Saturday and Sunday. The
official check-in is on Friday but if you would like, you may
check-in after 3pm on Thursday. We are going to have three
rings, one for huacaya males, one for huacaya females, and one
for suri & performance classes with a smattering of other
Huacaya classes. We have secured arguably the highest
regarded judge to assess your alpacas: |
