Come join us for the most exciting Spring alpaca show of 2012. The Expo is an incredibly relaxed and exhibitor friendly show, where you can let your hair down and settle in for an easy going visit with friends. This year we have upped the ante so to speak and added PRIZE MONEY for 1st through 3rd places, Champions and Reserve Champion winners, as well as, Produce of Dam and Get of Sire classes. Make sure you click on the tab to the left to learn about this magnificent opportunity to help you earn some money at the Expo. Besides the Premiums we have added a bunch of new features to the show so make sure to read all the information on this page to learn about how we just keep making shows more user friendly every year.

The Northeast Expo is being run by Alpaca Show Management Services which is a blending of show coordinator veterans Kevin O'Leary and Scott Young who together have run over 41 Alpaca Shows across the country.

Kevin and Scott have started this new business to help groups run their alpaca show efficiently and effectively and in the process have added the Northeast Alpaca Expo and the North American Alpaca Show to the list of AOBA Shows.  They both have developed reputations for putting on first class events, the Expo is no different.

Alpaca Show Management Services would not be themselves if they did not bring innovation to their Spring shows.  Here is a list of how they are shaking it up a bit!

  • Prize Money (or the official jargon Premiums) – This year we are making the Northeast Alpaca Expo a Premium Show meaning we are going to pay you for doing well at the show. This is always well received at shows and we hope you will love this new addition. Click on the Prize Money Tab to the Left to learn all about the particulars of this awesome new addition to the show!

  • Digital Ad Book - Why waste all that paper we throw away after each show! We will supply each exhibitor with a CD that you can run in your computers at the show and also bring it home to look at throughout the year. This lends itself to many added benefits. First and foremost each and every sponsor gets a color ad! Because we are going digital, we will also run all sponsor ads on the North American Alpaca Show home page for all of 2012. In addition we don't care how much space we take up in the book so all of the seminar notes that presenters give to us will be included on the disk so there will be quite a few reasons to go back to the disk many times to use it's resources.

  • Digital Class Listings - Commonly referred to as the Show Book, usually you race to get to the barn on Saturday morning to have your first look at where your animals are placed and who the competition is. well if that is your game then we never want to take that thrill away from you. However, this year we are adding a little tweak to the process. Once our Show Superintendent - Melissa Young, finishes all the changes (sometime in the middle of the night) she will upload the class listings to this website so when each of our exhibitors wakes up in the morning you can get on your laptops or better yet your smart phones and keep track of everything right away. Are you sitting there ringside and don't have the paper version of the class listing in your hand? Not to worry just pull out your phone and you will always have that vital information by your side.

  • New Sponsor Perks - All sponsors receive color ads in the Digital Ad Book as well as in a rolling ad space on our home page for all of 2012. Since Alpaca Show Management Services (ASMS) also runs the North East Alpaca Expo in Syracuse in the beginning of May, we are offering an awesome benefit for those farms sponsoring either Platinum or Gold levels at both shows in 2012. All farms that do Platinum Sponsors at both shows will receive 2 free stalls at the North East Alpaca Expo and all farms that do Gold Sponsors at both shows will receive 1 free stall at the Expo. Just an additional Thank You from the ASMS team. Lastly, the first 14 top level sponsors will receive rotating ad space on the show registration site. This is certainly a benefit to the farms that hop to it and get their registration in early to maximize their exposure. Yet another way to maximize your marketing efforts.

  • One more HUGE change - We almost have the finishing touches on one final ASMS brainstorm that we believe will revolutionize alpaca shows. This is something that we are really excited about and will be making an announcement in the next couple of weeks. You will be blown away!

The Expo will be an AOBA Certified Level 3  show judged on a 60/40 comparative judging basis.  We will have full fleece, shorn  classes, shearing on site by Matt Best and a full line up of seminars for all levels of alpaca knowledge.
